APPLE TARTELETTES w/ TOFFEE CREAM and BALSAMIC SYRUP

ingredients

  • 1 Package TENDERFLAKE Mini Tart Shells
  • Balsamic Glaze:
  • ½ Cup (120 mL) Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/3 Cup (45 g) Sugar
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 2 Tablespoons (30 mL) Water
  • Apple Tarts:
  • 1 Cup (250 g) Golden Brown Sugar ½ Cup (125 g) Unsalted Butter 2 Large Eggs - Beaten
  • 4-5 Golden Delicious Apples – Cored, Peeled and Roughly Chopped
  • 1 32 oz (946 mL) container of store bought Caramel Toffee Crunch Ice Cream

directions

  1. Prepare glaze in a small pan by boiling the Balsamic Vinegar, Sugar, Cinnamon Sticks and water over Medium High heat. Once it comes to a boil reduce until syrupy and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Butter and Sugar until creamy, then, beat in Egg and fold in Apples Stir and spoon evenly into TENDERFLAKE Mini Tart Shells
  3. Bake at 375°F (190°C) until golden brown for about 20-30 minutes
  4. Allow to cool to room temperature
  5. Drizzle each with Balsamic Glaze
  6. Serve with Caramel Toffee Crunch Ice Cream
